Week of January 29: Leave No Trace training has been scheduled for February 25 at the SG Canyon Ed. Center. Contact Esmeralda to sign up.
CPR class is scheduled for February 25 at the San Dimas Tech. Center. The cost is $35; contact Tom to register.
Week of January 22: Sign up now for February duty at Crystal Lake. The following dates have been taken: Feb. 4, 11, 12, 25.
Week of January 15: Monthly meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Week of January 8: Reminder: Our next general meeting will be on Tuesday January 17. We start at 7:00; refreshments will be served.
Week of January 1: No new messages.
Week of December 25: We will not staff the Crystal Lake Visitor Center on Dec. 25 or Jan 1.
Week of December 18: Existing volunteer agreements expire on December 31. Please fill out a new agreement as soon as possible.
Week of December 11: There will be no business meeting on December 20. Our regular "third Tuesday" schedule will resume in January.
Week of December 4: Winter has arrived. Watch for ice on roads and trails; carry extra cold weather gear.
Week of November 27: We are still looking for volunteers to work at the Crystal Lake Visitor Center on Dec. 4, 10 and 31. Contact AVA president and notify Gateway.
Week of November 20: Leave No Trace workshops are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at the San Gabriel Canyon Education Center. This is an all day class and it will be the same class on each day.
Week of November 13: Monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Church of the Brethren.
Week of November 6: A Safety in the Field class is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9:00 to 4:30 at the San Dimas Technical Center.
The Adventure Pass will not be required on Veterans Day Weekend, Nov. 11 to 13.
Week of October 30: Leave no Trace workshops have been scheduled for Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. Contact AVA president if you can attend on one of these days.
update 11-1: A refresher class for volunteers has been scheduled for Sat. Nov. 5, 9:00 to 12:30, at the San Gabriel Cyn. Ed. Center.
Week of October 23: Crystal Lake will be closed for camping starting October 31. The area will be open for day use and AVA will continue to staff the visitor center on weekends. Sign up now for November dates.
Week of October 16: Monthly meeting on Tuesday at Church of the Brethren in Glendora.
The next CPR class will be on Thursday, October 27 at 10 a.m. in Glendora. Early registration is essential; contact Esmeralda.

Week of October 2: Volunteers must report hours worked for Oct. 2010 to Sept. 2011 to Lois no later than October 3.
Week of September 25: If you are planning a trail patrol in October, be aware that the deer hunt season for firearms is from October 8 to November 6.
Week of September 18: Monthly general meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Church of the Brethren in Glendora (northwest corner of Glendora Ave. and Carroll Ave.).

Week of September 4: Volunteers needed to cover the Visitor Center at Crystal Lake. The following dates are already taken: Sept. 4, 5, 17, 18, 25.
Week of August 25: The September meeting will NOT be held on Thursday. Our monthly meetings will now be on the THIRD TUESDAY of each month. Also, we will no longer meet at the Scout Hut. See home page for details of new location.

Week of August 14: The Forest Service needs help at the County Fair from Sept. 3 to Oct. 3. Contact Tom with dates/times you are able to work. Orientation for volunteers will be Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Fair.
