Week of July 25: 
The next CPR and First Aid class is scheduled for August 21.

Week of July 18:
Volunteers who did not attend the refresher training in March or May must attend the August class.  Contact Lois to register.

Week of July 11: 
No new messages.

Week of July 4: 
Planning for the County Fair in September has begun.  Please begin to consider which days you may want to work, and let us know.  We will also have the sign-up sheets available at the August 5th meeting.

Week of June 27: 
Monthly meeting on Thursday, July 1.  Meet at Scout Hut in Glendora at 7:00 p.m.

Week of June 20: 
No new messages.

Week of June 13: 
Volunteers needed at the Gateway in July. Call ASAP if you can work July 3, 10, 11, 17 or 18.

Week of June 6: 
No new messages.

Week of May 30: 
Monthly meeting on Thursday, June 3, at the Scout Hut in Glendora. There will be a guest speaker from the Cal Poly Univ. geology department.

Week of May 23: 
Effective May 28 additional trails will open for hiking: Upper Bear Creek, Lower Bear Creek, West Fork as far as Glen Camp. If you plan to patrol be sure to get on the schedule.

Week of May 16:
 A three hour refresher training for experienced volunteers will be held at Crystal Lake at 10 a.m. on Sat. May 22.   CPR and First Aid will be taught from 2:00 to 5:00.  Also on May 22 at Crystal Lake, a full day training class is offered for new volunteers. For more details or instructions regarding how to sign up for any of the classes you may email AVA at information@angelesvolunteers.org. Update 5-21-10:  CPR training is cancelled.

Week of May 9: 
Crystal Lake cleanup on Sat. & Sun. May 15-16.
Camp overnight if you wish. Meet at 8:30 at Hwy. 39 locked gate. Contact AVA President if you can help.

Week of May 2: 
Meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Scout Hut in Glendora.

Week of April 25: 
Plan ahead: San Gabriel Canyon campground rehab project will continue on May 15 & 16.  See April 11 announcement below for details.

Week of April 18: 
Watershed Restoration on Saturday meeting at Ed. Center.  Contact Esmeralda if you are able to assist.

Week of April 11: 
San Gabriel Canyon campground rehab project this weekend.  Focus will be Coldbrook on Sat. and Crystal Lake on Sun.  Possibility of overnight camping.  Contact AVA president if you can participate.

Week of April 4: 
Sign up now if you plan to volunteer at the Earth Day event on April 16 hosted by the Chino Basin Water Conservation District. Contact Esmeralda.

Week of March 27: 
Meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Scout Hut in Glendora.

Week of March 21: 
Leaders needed Saturday (3-27) at Crystal Lake to assist tree planting project.  Contact AVA president for details.

Week of March 14: 
Help is needed at The Gateway on several weekends in April.  Call Lois if you can assist.

Week of March 7: 
The annual volunteer awards lunch has been scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at 11:30 at the S.G. Canyon Education Center. Please bring a potluck item to serve six according to the last digit of your phone number: 0-3 side dish; 4-5 salad or fruit; 6-7 chips or snacks; 8-9 soft drink.
Also on March 20 at the Ed. Center there will be a safety refresher class from 8:30 to 11:30. Contact Lois to register for either event.

Meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Scout Hut in Glendora.

Week of February 14: 
Watershed Restoration events have been scheduled for Sat. March 27 and Sat. April 24 at the SG Canyon Ed. Center.  If you want to participate as a leader contact Esmeralda.

Week of February 7: 
We are working on filling various March dates for Adventure Pass sales at The Gateway.  Contact Lois if you wish to participate.

Week of January 31:
   Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Scout Hut in Glendora.

Week of January 24: 
A trail work training session is being offered on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Forest Supervisor's Office in Arcadia [more].

Week of January 17: 
It is expected that some roads will be closed this week due to storm activity.

Week of January 10:
