A proposed amendment would modify the existing land use zones in selected Inventoried Roadless Areas in four national forests. A comment period provides an opportunity for early and meaningful participation.

The National Park Service and the Forest Service have announced several days during which visitors will not need to pay normal entrance fees or amenity fees. There are some minor differences in the dates the two agencies selected.

This study concerns the mountains encircling the San Fernando, La Cresenta, Santa Clarita, Simi, and Conejo Valleys. The National Park Service has completed a preliminary analysis and suggested four preliminary alternative concepts.
